The American Red Cross will change the hours of operation for the Blood Donor Center in Muskegon in the New Year.
Starting January 1, the donor center at 313 W. Webster Avenue will be open on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and on Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The center will not be open on Fridays.
Red Cross officials said the changes will help streamline blood collection hours, and be more convenient for blood donors.
All people who present to donate blood in January at the Muskegon Center will receive a special American Red Cross key chain, while supplies last.
Blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good general health. For information on a blood drive in any of the 65 counties served by the Great Lakes Region, call 1-800-GIVE LIFE or visit our blood drives page.
